The steel strip in the annealing furnace has to go through the process of temperature rise and fall, so the material of the furnace roller is generally Ni-Cr heat-resistant steel alloy, and its service temperature is mostly ≤900°C. Centrifugal casting and static casting processes are mostly used, combined with forging, finishing, etc., to meet the manufacturing accuracy requirements of furnace rollers. Taking the furnace roll in the heating section of the continuous annealing furnace unit as an example, this type of furnace roll is mainly composed of five parts: two ends of the shaft head, two sections of cone, and one section of centrifugal casting tube. The middle centrifugal casting tube is made of heat-resistant steel and adopts centrifugal casting Technology, the two-section cone adopts static casting technology, and the shaft heads at both ends are mostly processed by forging shafts, and finally processed by welding machines. Relevant welds need 100% PT inspection, and there must be no defects such as microcracks, slag inclusions, and pores, otherwise the welds will crack during production and use. The welded rolls also need to be heat treated and annealed to remove welding stress.
